Americans beat Lexington for 6th straight victory

MELROSE — On Sunday afternoon, the Melrose Americans won their sixth-consecutive game as they blanked the visiting Lexington Bulldogs, 6-0, at Morelli Field.

With that victory, the Americans improved to 14-7-1 as they are in third place in the Intercity League. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs fell to 7-15.

THE MELROSE 12-year-old All-Stars are off to the Massachusetts Final Four. Melrose played Acton-Boxboro on Thursday and will meet either Pittsfield or Bridgewater on Friday. Two of the Final Four teams will make it to the state championship game, which will take place on Sunday at 11 a.m. All Final Four games will take place
