THE WMHS boys’ and girls’ outdoor track and field teams both won Freedom Division Championships on Tuesday. Both teams finished with perfect 5-0 records in the regular season.

Boys’ lax team beats Belmont, 16-6

BELMONT — The WMHS boys’ lacrosse team traveled to Belmont yesterday looking for their 5th win in a row. The Warriors controlled the game from start to finish and left town with a 16-6 victory to bring their record to 8-5.

Wakefield girls’ tennis makes a statement against Liberty Division

HALEY TANNER defeated Belmont’s Julia Logan, 6-2, 6-2 at first singles on Thursday at the Dobbins Courts. Although Wakefield lost, 3-2, it was the first time in years that the Warriors picked up two matches against a team like Belmont who is in the upper echelon of tennis towns in the Middlesex League’s Liberty Division.
