PEABODY — Six members of the Peabody-Lynnfield-North Reading co-op girls’ hockey team recently received postseason honors voted on by the Northeastern Hockey League coaches.

Lynnfield’s Catie Kampersal is an NHL All-Star for the second consecutive year. The co-captain had 23 points with 14 goals and nine assists.

Ava Buckley was named the league’s MVP as the junior forward had 39 points with 17 goals and 22 assists. She was an NHL All-Star last year.

The other NHL All-Conference player is junior goalie Alyse Mutti who made the team for the second year in a row. She went 16-4 this year and posted eight shutouts.

Buckley’s twin sister, Leah, made the NHL All-Star team for the second year in a row. The defenseman had eight points with one goal and seven assists.

Mia Lava made the NHL All-Star team for the first time in her career. The junior forward finished the 2023-2024 campaign with nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points.

The final Tanner All-Star is Shirley Whitmore who made it for the first time. The junior winger had 19 points with 11 goals and eight assists.

It was a memorable season for the Tanners who won the NHL title this year going 15-1. They finished 18-5 overall after losing to Notre Dame of Hingham, 2-0, in the Div. 1 state quarterfinals after beating Winchester in the first round and Pope Francis in the Sweet 16.

Along with Kampersal, the Tanners will lose three more seniors to graduation, Yasmine Giacalone (forward), Jewel Mahnfeldt (forward, Lynnfield) and Addi Mikulski (forward).
