DANVERS — Three members of the Danvers-Lynnfield co-op gymnastics team were named to the NEC-CAL All-Star team this season. The three Falcons to make the post-season roster are Kaylee Wescott, Camryn Donovan and Callie Donovan

The Donovan’s are from Lynnfield.

Wescott, a freshman, made it in the All-Around as she made the team for the second year in a row. Last year, she made it on the floor exercise.

Camryn, who is a sophomore, made it on the floor exercise last year as well. This year she made the team on the bars.

Callie made her first all-star appearance and the freshman made it in the vault.

It was another outstanding year for the Falcons as they came in third place in the state finals on March 2 behind Central Catholic (150.575) and Masconomet (149.925) with a score of 144.5.

Last year, the Falcons were second to Masco in the state finals as Central snapped Masco’s four-year state title reign.

“We had another great season this year,” stated Falcons head coach Jen Habeeb. “Qualifying and placing top three in the finals two years in a row has been very exciting. We hope to keep the same momentum next year as well. Kaylee breaking the school record for the all-around was another highlight and we can’t wait to see what she and the team will accomplish next season.”

In the regular season this year, the Falcons came in second place in the NEC-CAL going 6-1. Their only loss came to Masconomet.

The Falcons will lose two seniors to graduation Kailyn Richards and Romane Bareyr

With 14 veterans able to comeback next winter, including the three All-Stars, the team should again challenge for the state title.
