Grandmother of five
NORTH READING — Christine V. “Chris” (Smith) Chase of North Reading died Sept. 19. She was the beloved wife of Frederick Chase and the mother of Cara Larkin of Billerica, Amy Cypher and her husband Michael of New Hampshire and Stefanie Pleasant and her husband James of Florida. She was the daughter of the late William and Veronica Smith.
Christine was also the grandmother of Timothy, Kaileigh, Michael, James and Connor and the sister of Anita Hanney, Caroline Brignolo, Mark Smith, Matthew Smith, Stephanie Driscoll, Will Smith and the late Peter Smith.
Her funeral will be held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park Street and Rte. 28) North Reading, at Reading line, on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9:30 a.m, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. www.cotafuneralhomes.com.
