WAKEFIELD — Wakefield Firefighters Union Local #1478 will be having a Night of Comedy show Saturday, July 30, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Wakefield Elks Club on Bay State Road.

Tickets can be purchased the night of the event at the door for $10.

The Comedy Night will feature two of Boston’s best comedians: Paul D’Angelo and Mike Donovan.

Paul D’Angelo is a comedian/writer/actor who the Los Angeles Times calls “… quite likely the funniest entertainer you’ve never heard of.” Paul, who is from Wakefield, opened for over 40 nationally known recording artists including Ray Charles, Huey Lewis and the News, The Beach Boys, Chicago and Hall and Oates.

Mike Donovan has been a headlining stand-up comedian since 1978. Mike has appeared on Showtime and has had his sports material featured on ESPN’s Sportscenter. He has toured 38 cities with Steven Wright and regularly appears in Las Vegas, New York and Atlantic City. Mike’s written work has been published in Sports Illustrated, The Patriot Ledger, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Boston Phoenix and Sports Collectors Digest.
