NORTH READING — Cynthia A. Mallett, 64, of North Reading formerly of Wakefield died on Friday, April 22 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Melrose on June 4, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Louise (Glynn) McCarthy.

Mrs. Mallett was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1969. She was the president of the Wakefield Arts and Crafts, a member of the Essex Needlework Guild and Crochet Guild of America.

Cynthia is survived by her husband James E. Mallett; her two daughters, Janet M. Natti and her husband Matthew of Gloucester and Kimberly A. Wall of North Reading; her two granddaughters, Cassidy M. Wall and Isabella J. Natti; her brother, Allan McCarthy of North Reading, and her three sisters, Alice Donnelly, Janet McCarthy and Patricia Duncan, all of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Mallett was predeceased by her brother Herbert McCarthy and her sister Louise Kumm.

Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be private.
