NORTHBOROUGH — It was an impressive showing for the Lynnfield-Danvers High co-op gymnastics team last Saturday at the state finals at Algonquin Regional High School as they came in 3rd place out of eight teams.

Central Catholic won the state title with a total score of 150.575 to end the four-year title reign of Masconomet, who came in second with a 149.925.

The Falcons, who came in second place in the finals last year, finished with a 144.5.

Kaylee Wescott led the way again for the Falcons coming in second place in the all-around with a score of 38.725. Masco’s Bella Misiura won the all-around with a 39.175.

Wescott tied for second in the bars (9.675). The freshman was third overall in the three over events as she had a 9.775 in the vault, a 9.625 on the balance beam and a 9.65 on the floor exercise.

Lynnfield’s Camryn Donovan had another big day placing fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.550 as she tied Central’s Riley Salermo.

Donovan tied for third on the bars with a 9.675. The junior came in fifth in the vault (9.6) and tied for fifth on the floor (9.5).

On the beam, Donovan was 22nd with a 8.775.

Sophia Catinazzo was 33rd overall as she competed in three events. The Lynnfield resident was tied for 17th in the vault (9.2), tied for 35th on the beam (8.3) and was 37th on the floor (8.15).

Lynnfield’s Anna Gorman placed 41st with a 24.5 in her three events. She was 24th on the bars (8.45), 29th in the vault ((8.75), and 45th  on the beam (7.3).

Romane Bareyre placed right behind Gorman in 42nd with a total score of 23.775. She tied for 23rd in the vault (8.925), tied for 43rd on the beam (7.4) and was 44th on the bars (7.45).

Lynnfield’s Callie Donovan (Camryn’s sister), was 46th overall with a 17.25 as she competed in two events. She tied for 25th on the floor (8.7) and was 30th on the beam (8.55).

In the regular season, the Falcons came in second place in the NEC-CAL going 6-1. Their only loss came to first-place Masconomet.
