derek-delisle-Obit-webTEWKSBURY — Derek Michael DeLisle – 31, of Tewksbury died Saturday, January 30, 2016.

Born in Winchester on October 1, 1984,  he was a graduate of Shawsheen Technical School in Billerica. Derek worked at Tewksbury State Hospital for many years as a Maintenance Technician.

He was the beloved son of Holly (Florence) DeLisle and David M. DeLisle and the cherished brother to Kelly, Bobby and Joshua DeLisle. He was a devoted Uncle to his nephews, Dylan and Blake Walker.

Derek’s pure athleticism and raw natural talent in sports led him to be the captain of his wrestling team at Shawsheen Tech, with a drive to be the best at whatever he set his mind to. He was a strong role model for his younger siblings. His childlike sense of humor brought joy and laughter to those around him. He took great pleasure in teaching WWF wrestling moves to his nephews on the trampoline, much to their delight. Derek had a great talent for drawing and he loved his music intensely.

His funeral will be held at Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday,  February 10 at 10 a.m.. Calling hours will be held prior to service from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Interment will be held in Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington. www.croswellfuneralhome.com
