Animal rights supporter, groomer

SEABROOK, N.H. — Donna A. (Philbrick) Ward, 47, of Seabrook, N.H., passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, on Monday, May 25, 2015.

She was the wife of Mark A. Ward of Seabrook, N.H.

Donna was born in Melrose on Sept. 3, 1967 to her mother Barbara M. (Walsh) Philbrick and the late Dean H. Philbrick.

Donna graduated from MACC in Newburyport. She was employed at the Market Basket in Seabrook. She formerly worked for 21 years as a database administrator for Seiman Medical in Danvers.

Donna loved animals and was a volunteer at NHSPCA in Stratham, N.H. for many years. She also did some animal grooming.

In addition to her mother, Barbara Philbrick of Wakefield, and her husband Mark, she is survived by a daughter, Cassidy Ward and her fiance Anthony Mills of Seabrook, N.H. She also leaves two sisters, Susan Celikmen and her son Adam of North Andover and Karen and her husband Bill Duffy of Lynnfield. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Dean Paul Philbrick.

Her funeral service was held Friday, May 29, at the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, Rowley. Burial followed at the Main Street Cemetery, Main Street (Rt. 1A), Rowley.
