ObitLicata-webST. ALBANS, Vt.  — E. Carmen Licata, 97, died peacefully on Thursday, April 2, surrounded by her loving family, at the St. Albans Health and Rehab. Center in St. Albans, Vt.

Carmen was born on Nov. 15, 1917 in Montezuma, Ohio, the daughter of Otis and Mary Pearl (Small) Lyons.

She graduated from the St. Rita’s Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and worked at the Revere Memorial Hospital in Revere, her father-in-law’s hospital, for several years.

She is survived by her children Elaine Port and her husband Francis Port Jr. of Milton, Vt.; Eloise Licata-Gehr and her husband Gerald of Sunapee, N.H., and Francis Licata and his wife Ruth of Windham, N.H. She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Carmen was predeceased by her husband Daniel in 1995 and by her eight siblings.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Forest Glade Cemetery, Lowell Street, Wakefield at noon.
