NORTH READING — Edward L. “Ed” Broughton of North Reading died Sept. 1. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Schiavone) and the father of the late Derrick Broughton. He was the grandfather of Kathrine, Rebecca, Nathan, Diana and Michael. Ed is also survived by many close friends including Lisa and her husband Chris, Kay and her husband Tony and other family.
His funeral will be held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28) North Reading, at Reading line, on Wednesday Sept. 9 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 10:30 a.m. Relative and friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
