Enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee

MELROSE — Eleanor A. (Reehill) “Kellie” Howland, 88, of Melrose, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on May 24, 2018.

Eleanor was born and raised in Saugus and a graduate of Saugus High School. She resided in Saugus for many years and Melrose since 1969. Eleanor was a homemaker and a devout member of the Church of the Incarnation in Melrose for many years. She enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee and never missed any of her family’s soccer, baseball and ballet events. Eleanor’s family was the most important part of her life.

She was the loving mother of Timothy Howland and his wife Lisa of Melrose, Myles Howland and his wife Barbara of Derry, N.H., and Lenore Howland and her companion Clark McClune of Calif. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Kyle, Sean, Amy, Cameron and Miranda. Former spouse of the late Neil Howland. Caring sister of the late Catherine Spencer and her late husband Thomas and Mary Moschella and her late husband Andy. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, May, 29. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eleanor’s name to the charity of your choice.
