Owned the Hitching Post in Reading 

PEABODY — Elizabeth J. Dupuis, 66 of Peabody and formerly of Wakefield and Lynnfield, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Danvers.

She was born in Melrose on Feb. 9, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Herbert A. and Jean (Sargeant) Ramsdell. Mrs. Dupuis was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1968. She later made her home in Lynnfield for many years. She had currently been employed by the Paul K. Guillow Company of Wakefield where she had worked for the past 15 years. She was the former owner of the “Hitching Post” of Reading.

Mrs. Dupuis was the beloved wife of Joseph N. Dupuis. She was the loving mother of Joseph N. Dupuis Jr. and his wife Jeanine of Rowley and Denis P. Dupuis and wife Lisa Zompa of Coventry, R.I. She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren: Nicholas, Griffin, Mia and Garrett.

Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, May 14. Funeral services and interment will be private.
