MELROSE — Lorenzo and Emily Tenreiro, the owners of Coffee Tea and Me and La Qchara, presented Mayor Robert J. Dolan with a donation to the Emergency Fund this week, bringing the total donations so far to over $13,000.
“Our local businesses are strong supporters of the Emergency Fund, and I am very grateful for that,” said Dolan. “Their caring attitude toward their customers and neighbors is one of the many things that makes Melrose unique.”
The Emergency Fund provides one-time help to Melrose residents experiencing financial emergencies. All donations go directly to aid, with no administrative costs, and the fund administrator makes referrals to other local agencies if needed.
