WAKEFIELD — Local residents are being asked to help the town practice emergency preparedness in the event that the town needs to distribute water and supplies (such as medication) in an emergency. Residents can help the town practice this drill by driving through a site that will be set up at the Northeast Metro Tech School at 100 Hemlock Rd. tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m. You will be given a gallon of water, a tote with information and “practice medication.” In addition, if you have child seats in your car, a police officer will be happy to check and make sure they are installed correctly.
The public’s participation in this event is critical to ensuring that the town is ready in the event of an actual emergency. If you have questions, call the Health Department at 781-246-6375.
