Great–grandmother of three
POMPANO BEACH, FL — Esther K. (Carafotes) Spinos, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away May 30 . She was the beloved wife of the late Costas Spinos. Ester was the mother of Theodore Spinos and his wife Mary Ellen of FL and Margo Vogis and her husband Victor of North Reading. She was the daughter of the late James and Marigo Carafotes and the grandmother of Charles and Paul Spinos, Katya Lee, Esther Medeiros and the late Victor G. Vogis. She was the great–grandmother of Christina Spinos, Matthew and Margo M. Mederios and the sister of George Carafotes of Somerville and the late Pauline Straticos, Irene Zografos and John and Charlie Carafotes.
Her funeral service was held at The Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 29 Central St., Somerville on Friday, June 5 followed by interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Esther was a member of the Logan VFW Woman’s Auxiliary and the Philoptocos Woman’s Group. Arrangements by the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St.(corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), North Reading.
