WINCHESTER — Euleta C. Johnson, 103, of Winchester, formerly of Lynnfield and Peabody, died Sunday, Nov. 13 at The Gables in Winchester.
Born in Wakefield on July 2, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Lizzie V. (Small) Gray.
Mrs. Johnson was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She later graduated from Salem Teachers College. She had taught in the Wakefield and Reading school systems and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lynnfield.
Mrs. Johnson was an active member of The Garden Club of Lynnfield and Peabody.
She was the wife of the late Charles E. Johnson. She was the mother of Richard A. Johnson and his wife Margaret of Lincoln. She was the grandmother of Lisa Shaw and her husband Scott and Bryan Johnson and his wife MaryEllen. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Ally Johnson, Jake and Elsie Shaw and also survived by her former daughter-in-law Lindy Johnson.
Funeral service will be in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
