Girls CC falls to Lexington 20-41 (Sept. 12)
Boys CC falls to Lexington 21-32 (Sept. 12)
ATTLEBORO—Members of the Melrose High cross-country teams took part in the MSTCA Cross Country Relays held at Highland Park in Attleboro on a sweltering Saturday afternoon last weekend.
The co-ed races proved a unique experience for both teams and they had some notable finishes.
Results are solely based on teams and not individuals.
The Melrose co-ed team of Adam Caldwell, Darby Thompson, and Caleb Barnes placed 4th out of 42 teams.
Melrose also placed 10th in the Junior/Senior girls relay out of 46 teams with Ella Ugino, Maizie Frakt, and Kensington Ludlum.
Top runners for the boys team included Caleb Barnes (7:38), Jonah Tully (8:26) John Strong (8.26), Adam Caldwell (8:37) and Henry McCormack (8:52)
Melrose opens their season this week on the road at Lincoln Field in Lexington.
