Robert Vincent, the Town Council’s liaison to the Fire Department read a statement on behalf of the board.
“It is indeed my honor and privilege to speak on behalf of the Town Council as we publicly recognize and thank Fire Chief Michael Sullivan for his 40 years of exceptionally meritorious service to our community,” Vincent said.
“Chief Sullivan comes from a long line of Sullivans who have served with distinction on the Wakefield Fire Department for many decades,” Vincent continued. “I note that he took the oath of office as a Wakefield Firefighter on Aug. 9, 1984, 10 years after his father, Lt.
