WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League boys’ soccer coaches met recently to pick the All-Stars for the league.
Wakefield High had four All-Stars selected: senior captains Pat Collins and Anthony Pellegrino, junior midfielder Joao Valdevino and sophomore keeper Matt Sellers.
Collins was also named to the All-Conference team.
The Warriors finished second in the Freedom Division. First-place Watertown led the division with five selections. After Wakefield, Melrose had three, Stoneham and Burlington each had two and Wilmington had one.
In the Liberty Division, Lexington led the way with five selections. Division 2 state champion Winchester, who beat Milford in OT 5-4 to clinch the title, had four All-Stars selected. Belmont was next with three, followed by two from Reading and Arlington and one from Woburn.
