Facility and procurement manager for Wakefield Gas and Light

NORTH READING — Francis A. “Frank” White III, 59, of North Reading, formerly of Wakefield and Cape Cod, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 after battling Multiple Myeloma cancer for eight years.
Frank was the son of Frank White Jr. of Woburn and the late Martha (Flavin) White. He attended Woburn Public Schools and graduated from Bentley College. Most recently, he worked for the Wakefield Gas and Light Department as their Facility and Procurement Manager. Frank’s favorite summer pastime was to be on a boat on Cape Cod with family and friends fishing, cruising or just having fun. His winter pastime was in a hockey rink watching his sons and their teammates play hockey for Stonehill College.
Frank was the beloved husband of Julie (Hopkins) White and the loving father of Garrett and Brendan White and their dog, Mac. He was the step–son of Christine (Ross) White. He was the brother of Mary (White) Jennings of Wakefield and her husband Richard, Maureen (White) Leone and her husband Michael of Wakefield, Brian White and his wife Joanne (Fussare) of Henrietta, N.Y., Mark White and his wife Jamie (Katz) of Providence, R.I. and Matty White and his wife Samantha (Doyle) of Woburn. Frank also leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Marion Hopkins of Marshfield, formerly of Hanover and a large extended family who loved him dearly.
Frank’s funeral was held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday followed by a funeral Mass at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading. Interment was private.
