LYNNFIELD — Lynnfield High School is pleased to announce that the annual Freshmen Orientation for all incoming ninth graders will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27 from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

On this day, students will meet key staff members, visit their homeroom/lockers, participate in team building activities within their Advisory group and enjoy a barbecue.

This orientation will allow freshmen students the opportunity to navigate the building and follow their schedules prior to the first day of school on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Only freshmen will report on Aug. 27, although LHS Student Advisors will facilitate the Advisory sessions.

LHS Student Advisors are a group of upperclassmen leaders who will help facilitate Advisory groups and assist with various programs throughout the year. The Student Advisors will be wearing their bright orange shirts and name tags as they welcome the incoming class.

“It is our hope that this orientation will further assist  freshmen with the transition to the high school and provide a positive introduction for all students,” said Assistant Principal Kevin Cyr. “We are excited about this program and confident it will be beneficial for all students. Feel free to contact us with any questions.”
