Lived in Melrose most of her life

Petti-obit_webMELROSE — Gloria R. (Perrotta) Petti, 86, of Melrose, died at the Peabody Glenn Health Care Center in Peabody on Nov. 12.

Gloria was born and raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1945. She was a homemaker and resided in Melrose for most of her life.

Gloria enjoyed traveling with her late husband all over Europe, Florida, Alaska, Foxwoods, cruises and Las Vegas many times. She loved to spend her time with her children and grandchildren.

Gloria was a great cook and enjoyed knitting, sewing and arts and crafts.

She was the beloved wife of the late Flaviano A.”Flory” Petti for over 50 years. She was the loving mother of Steven R. Petti and his wife Marguerite, Marianne DelGenio and her husband Dennis, all of Danvers, and Mark R. Petti and his wife Donna of Tewksbury. She was the grandmother of Kristine, Briana, Alyssa, Mark, Derek, Ryan and Justin. She was the sister of Thomas Perrotta and his wife Mary of Georgia, the late Anna Cintolo and Dorothy DiPierro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m.

Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
