MELROSE — Mayor Robert J. Dolan announced this week that Governor Charlie Baker will attend the Melrose Inaugural Ceremonies on Monday, January 11. Governor Baker will speak about Melrose and cities and towns across Massachusetts and will administer the oath of office to Mayor Dolan.
“I am honored that the Governor has chosen to come to Melrose on inaugural night,” said Dolan. “The governor has made it a priority to partner with cities and towns across the Commonwealth to further advance our collective goals of a strong Commonwealth and a strong City. The Governor has delivered on this promise, and his administration has been exceptional partners. We all welcome him to Melrose.”
Governor Baker added, “I am pleased to join Mayor Dolan as he begins another chapter in over two decades of service to the people and city of Melrose. Mayor Dolan is a proven leader in his community and continues to be a welcome partner with our administration as we work to make Massachusetts great in every zip code.”
The public is invited to attend the Inaugural, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 11, in Memorial Hall.
