MELROSE — Grace Agnes (Accinni) Murdock, 100, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose.
Grace was born in Jersey City and grew up in Boonton, New Jersey. She lived in Montville, New Jersey for most of her life before moving to Massachusetts in 2014. Grace attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Grammar School. She met her husband at The Van Raalte Company and became a loving and dedicated homemaker. Grace was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, John P., who passed away in 1999. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Vivian Pischedda, in 1986; her three brothers and two isters. Grace’s survivors include her son, John D. of Winchester, and her granddaughter, Christy Pischedda.
Her funeral took place on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, N.J., with the Liturgy of Christian Burial taking place at St. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church, 215 Hill St., Boonton. Interment took place at Saint Cyrils and Methodius Cemetery, Boonton. Visiting hours took place on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the funeral home.
