WAKEFIELD — A clerk at the Elm Street Convenience Store reported an armed robbery just before 9 p.m. last night. Police said that according to the clerk, a man entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded all of the cash in the drawer. He then fled on foot down North Emerson Street with an unspecified amount of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

The suspect was described as about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, possibly Hispanic, and wearing a mask, a black hat and gloves. A be-on-the-lookout was issued to area police departments.

At 9:15 a.m. on Friday, an Aborn Avenue resident reported that his unlocked black 2015 Lexus was broken into at about 3:30 a.m. and that he had home security video of the break. Police said that the security camera footage showed a male, apparently in his teens with short hair and a slim build arrive on a bicycle and walk up the driveway. The man entered the vehicle and then left on the bike. Nothing was reported stolen.

At about 2 p.m. on Friday, a Preston Street resident reported another apparent break-in of an unlocked car. There was nothing reported missing.

Police, firefighters and Action Ambulance personnel responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated man having fallen off his bicycle on Main Street at about 6:20 p.m. on Friday. The man was taken to Winchester Hospital by ambulance.

At about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, police took a report of a breaking and entering attempt at a North Avenue address sometime between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. on Saturday. A lock was reportedly cut and taken but nothing else was reported stolen.

A 24-year-old Burlington man man was taken to the hospital and a 19-year-old Stoneham woman will be summonsed to court after police responded to a report of a large party and a possible fight on Richardson Street early Sunday morning.

Police responded to a somewhat chaotic scene just after 1 a.m. and found a man lying on the street bleeding from his face and multiple individuals fleeing the area. Police observed a young woman throwing items into the back seat and trunk of a car. An officer approached the car and instructed the woman, now in the driver’s seat, to roll the window down and shut off the car. The woman acknowledged hearing the officer. When the officer stepped away to address other individuals fleeing the scene, the woman drove off at a high rate of speed. She will be summonsed to court for failure to stop for police.

The Fire Department responded to 32 calls over the weekend, 24 of which were for medical aid.
