Enjoyed cooking, Good Harbor Beach and family time

OBIT-Helen-Paolini_webLYNNFIELD — Helen K. Paolini, 83, of Lynnfield, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at the Salem Hospital.

Born in Boston on June 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Edna (Kossowski) Loiko.

Helen was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Girls High School in the South End. She had been a Lynnfield resident for the past 30 years. She had worked for the family business, “Sir Speedy,” formerly of Main Street in Wakefield and presently “Northeast Business Printers” of Wilmington.

Helen was a member of Saint Joseph Church in Wakefield. She enjoyed cooking, being a homemaker and spending her time at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Helen was an extremely warm and caring person who touched the hearts of all who met her.

She was the beloved wife of Rocco A. Paolini. She was the loving mother of Carol A. Portrait and her husband Shawn of West Newbury and Steven R. Paolini and his wife April of Peabody. She was the sister of the late Edward Loyko and his surviving wife, Emily, of Falmouth. She was the adoring grandmother of T.J. Hollow and Chris and Nick Paolini. Helen was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The highlights of her life were her family and her friends.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m.
