READING — Helen M. Fallica, 91, of Reading, formerly of Wakefield, died Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Lynn on July 6, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Primo and Maria (Cappelletti) Ferrari.

Mrs. Fallica was raised and educated in Lynn. She met her husband, the late Joseph Fallica, at Revere beach and they were married in 1950. They settled in Wakefield where they raised their family. Together, they were dedicated parishioners of St. Florence Church, loved to dance, and traveled extensively. Mrs. Fallica also loved to knit, crochet, and to sew, crafting clothes and curtains in her spare time. She was also a 26-year volunteer at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Her Italian cooking was top notch; she was devoted to her family, and Sunday dinners were a regular but special event.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Fallica. She was the loving mother of John A. Fallica of Wakefield, Paul J. Fallica of Lowell, Michael C. Fallica and his wife Carolyn of Reading, and Mark T. Fallica and his wife Sandra of Acton. She was the cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at
9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
