BOSTON – On Aug. 21, North Reading resident Jason Baudreau will run the 44th annual New Balance Falmouth Road Race to help conquer cancer as a member of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s team.

Along with more than 280 Dana-Farber teammates from New England and beyond, Baudreau, of 40 Hickory Lane, will cover the seven-mile race course with a goal to raise $850,000. Proceeds from the event go directly to the Jimmy Fund, which benefits adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber. In 2016, the Dana-Farber team celebrates its 14th year of participation in the race’s Numbers for Non-profits program.

Each Dana-Farber team member commits to raise or contribute at least $1,500 to the cause. The team this year is striving to generate an average of at least $3,000 per runner. The event has raised more than $3 million since its inception. To learn more about running for Dana-Farber or to support a runner, please visit www.rundanafarber.org/Falmouth.
