US veteran, former local teacher

READING — Jacob L. Goldberg, 89, of Reading, died Jan. 18, 2016. He was the husband of Ruth (Wynot) Goldberg and the father of Helen Goldberg Kinney and her husband Robert of Franklin, William E. Goldberg and his partner Sally Salzwedel of Garden Grove, Calif. and Barbara Pearl of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Mr. Goldberg was a U.S. veteran and a former special education teacher in the North Reading schools. He was also the grandfather of Alexandra, Cameron and Maxwell, Josefina, Ruth Anne, Susan and Sylvia. A memorial service will be held in April.
