Brought love and laughter to family and friends

Jacqueline-Champagne-Obit-webSOUTH BOSTON — Jacqueline A. “Jackie” Champagne, of South Boston, died Aug. 21, 2016. She was the beloved daughter of Loretta A. (Curtis) Champagne–MacNeil, her late husband Lawrence MacNeil and the late Robert G. Champagne. Jackie was the devoted sister of Jean M. Sullivan and her husband Robert of South Boston, Joan Crotty and her husband Arthur of North Reading, Jill Connolly of Braintree and Barbara MacNeil of Weymouth. She was the cherished niece of Richard Curtis and his wife Dorine and the loving aunt of Dennis Sullivan and his wife Lauren; Amanda, Erin, Jennifer and Andrew Crotty; Timothy and Lauren Connolly; Heather Gailinis and Paul Burns.

She is also survived by many other loving family and friends. Jackie has brought much happiness and plenty of laughter into the lives of her family and friends. Family was very important to her. She has the biggest heart of anyone we know. When anyone needed anything, if Jackie had it, she gave it. Jackie is still giving even after her death, as she chose to be an organ donor. She gave the gift of life. We have a smile on our faces and pride in our hearts, knowing that a piece of Jackie will live on in at least four other grateful people.
