MELROSE — Jacquelyn R. “Jackie” Ehlert, 81, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away on Sunday, February 1, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Jackie was born in Melrose, a daughter of the late Herman F. Ehlert and Ruth G. (Ford) Ehlert. She was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Jackie worked as a secretary in human services for many years.
Jackie was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Melrose.
She was the loving sister of Marilyn I. Ruggles of NY, the late Paul R. Ehlert, and stepsister of Fred Burnham of CT. Dear aunt of Jay A. Ruggles of TX, JoAnne Procyshyn of NY, and Julie E. Moulison of Haverhill. She is also survived by several cousins.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Jackie’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, February 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., and at the First United Methodist Church, 645 Main St., Melrose for her funeral service celebrated on Saturday at 12 noon.
