WORCESTER — James Cresta, 50, of Worcester, formerly of Wakefield, passed away Thursday, February 16.
He was born on July 22, 1966 and was the son of Jean Camerato and the late Vicenzo Cresta.
James was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School Class of 1984. Following graduation he entered into the U.S. Marine Corps. James was a jeweler by trade and also volunteered to help out other veterans.
Along with his mother, James is survived by his stepfather Carmine Camerato Jr. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Cresta of Wakefield, Michael Cresta of North Reading, Richard Cresta of Reading, Anthony and Vincent Cresta of New York City, and step-siblings Carmine John Camerato and Kristine LeBlanc. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield beginning at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Friday, at 10 a.m.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
