Respiratory therapist was avid sports fan

Ken-Murphy-obit-webWAKEFIELD — Kenneth Paul Murphy, 65, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, February 15 at his residence.
Born in Somerville on January 13, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Julia (Simmons) Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was a graduate of North Cambridge Catholic High School, Class of 1970 and Northeastern University. He had been a Wakefield resident for the past 25 years. Mr. Murphy had worked as a respiratory therapist at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He was an avid sports fan.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife Susan M. (Doiron) Murphy, his son Brendan M. Murphy of Wakefield, his brother John Murphy, Jr. of Cambridge and his sister Shelia Barnes of Florida. He was predeceased by his two brothers: Kevin Murphy and Joseph Murphy.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., on Saturday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
