Former administrative assistant, Malden Hospital

NORTH READING — Mrs. Jean E. (Pickard) Harriott–Henry, 89, of North Reading, beloved wife of Joseph Henry and the late Walter Harriott, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Mabel (Wylie) Pickard. She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School.

Mrs. Harriott–Henry had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at Malden Hospital for several years.

A longtime member of the North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church in Danvers, Jean was also an active volunteer for many charities and gave her time to support the St. Vincent de Paul Society, North Shore Friends as well as several other North Shore charities.

A caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Jean enjoyed travelling with her family and dancing. Her greatest joy was being with her family, sharing in their many activities and celebrations. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Jean is survived by her son, Curt Harriott of Raymond, NH, her daughter, Janis April of Danvers, her step-son David Henry of California, her two step-daughters, Paula Diener of Connecticut, and Christine Denaro of Concord, her three grandchildren and four great–grandchildren.

Arrangements: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers, on Thursday August 6th at 12:30 p.m. Visitation prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
