WAKEFIELD — Jean M. (MacGregor) Wenzel, 88, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her summer residence in Freedom, N.H.
Jean was born in Melrose on April 24, 1931 and was the daughter of the late George C. and Leila (MacNayr) MacGregor.
Jean was raised in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1949. She was later graduated from the Melrose Wakefield Hospital School of Nursing and stayed on staff as a Registered Nurse for many years. She was a longtime summer resident of Freedom, N.H. and was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Wakefield.
Jean was the beloved wife of Roger M. Wenzel. She was the loving mother of Kenneth R. Wenzel and his wife Lynne of N.H., and Wayne M. Wenzel of Wakefield. She was the sister of the late Alma Schnurbush. She was the grandmother of Jennifer E. Wenzel and Kenneth R. Wenzel Jr. She was also the great-grandmother of Kenneth K. Guymon.
Her funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home.
