SAUGUS – Mr. John H. Hatch, age 72, died on Sunday, December 4th at Mass. General Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Monico) Hatch.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Melvin and Eleanor (Kerry) Hatch. He retired from General Electric Riverworks as a sheet metal fabricator with 34 years of service. He also worked for many years at J & B Metal in Saugus.

Mr. Hatch leaves one son, John S. Hatch and his wife Wendy of Saugus; one daughter, Jane Donovan and her husband Glenn of North Reading; four grandchildren, Kerri–Ann, Derek, Andrew and Kendall; one brother, Robert Hatch of Wells, ME; three sisters, Ellen DeVito of Malden, Joanne Venezia of Peabody, Mary Johnson of Sanford, ME. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by one brother, Thomas Hatch.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus on Thursday, 4–8 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus at noon.
