STONEHAM — June E. Crones, 84, of Stoneham and formerly of Wakefield, died Monday, Dec. 22, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House.
Born in Malden on June 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Minnie (Snow) Hoffman.
Mrs. Crones was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1948. She moved to Wakefield and had been a resident since the 1950s and became a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Mrs. Crones was devoted to her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Crones. She was the loving mother of Michael Crones and his wife Liz of Stoneham and Susan T. Watts and her husband David Jr. of Wakefield. She is also survived by her four adoring grandchildren: Allyson, Courtney, Samantha and Emily, and her great-grandson Matthew. She was preceded in death by her seven brothers and sisters.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 o’clock.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
