CHELMSFORD — Kevin Hanson, 55, of Chelmsford, formerly of Wakefield, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Melrose on November 3, 1962 he was the son of Barbara (Haladay) Hanson of Whitefield, N.H. and Ronald W. Hanson of Jefferson, N.H.
Kevin was a graduate of Pingree School, Class of 1981 and went on to attend the University of Lowell. He had been a longtime bartender and DJ. He was an avid fantasy baseball player and was an overall Boston sports fan.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his beloved daughter, Nicole Hanson and her fiancé Will Douglass of Rehoboth; his brother, Scott W. Hanson and his wife Kathy of Lynnfield; his longtime companion, Linda O’Neill, as well as his former wife, Jacqueline (Roberts) Dooley of Dighton.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
