WAKEFIELD — Kitty L. Leonardson, 92, of Gilford, N.H. and Wakefield died on Saturday, June 4, at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Malden on Nov. 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Anna M. (McLean) DuLong.
Mrs. Leonardson was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1941. She had retired as from Lahey Medical Center in Boston and Burlington as the head receptionist. Mrs. Leonardson had been a member of the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 64 years and had been a resident of Welch Island on Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, N.H. since 1978.
Mrs. Leonardson was the wife of the late Dr. Borge O. Leonardson. She is survived by her son William E. Brown and his wife Eleanor of Concord, N.H.; her stepdaughter Karen A. Smith of Keene, N.H.; her stepson Gregg Leonardson of Miami, Fla.; her sister Florence Campbell of Reading and her two grandchildren Jennifer Brown of New York and Scott Brown of New Hampshire. Mrs. Leonardson is also survived by her four step-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her step-daughter Lisa Kinsley, her brother William DuLong and her sister Rena Lombardzoie.
A graveside service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
