WAKEFIELD — A landscaper working outside North Avenue’s Lakeside Inn (the old Lord Wakefield) inadvertently walked into the bucket of a small Bobcat yesterday afternoon as he was removing bushes from the property.
Firefighters and Action Ambulance personnel were notified after police were called at 2:29 p.m. According to fire officials, the landscaper — a man in his 20s — had a laceration on his head and was told he needed stitches but the man said he would get himself treatment.

An employee of the Lakeside Inn called police at 11:37 a.m. yesterday seeking help dealing with a guest who apparently was intoxicated and fell, suffering a deep cut on one of his elbows.
The guest was taken by Action Ambulance to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

A citizen who found a camera case containing a lens cap, two SD cards and a charger with cord on the Common during the July Fourth fireworks display brought the items to police headquarters around 12:25 p.m. yesterday. There was no identifying information found with the items, so police entered it as lost and found.
Later in the day, the owner was reunited with his equipment.

A woman reportedly collapsed inside My Brother’s Pizza just before 4 p.m. yesterday and was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

A suspicious truck was reported to police at 4:13 p.m. yesterday on Pheasantwood Drive. The officer responding to the scene discovered the truck driver was dropping off a vehicle in the area.

A woman on Whittier Road who was having problems breathing was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington sometime after 4:42 p.m. yesterday.

An Old Colony Drive resident reported at 5:35 p.m. that a neighbor was banging on his fence with a sledge hammer.

A citizen reported an unattended suitcase on Main Street at the intersection of White Avenue around 6 p.m. Police said the bag belonged to a resident in the 200 block of Main Street and it was being discarded as trash.

A child reportedly suffered an ankle injury at Mapleway Park around 7:30 last night. Action Ambulance and firefighters were notified by police.

Police assisted a young woman who got on the wrong train at North Station and ended up at the Greenwood T station. Her mother called police at 11:25 last night from Salisbury to say her husband was on his way to get their daughter and asked that police look after her well being.
