Wakefield native served in the Army

Marston-obit_webFITCHBURG — Lee B. (Marshall) Marston, 74, of Fitchburg died Thursday, August 17, at the Leominster Hospital.
Lee was born on June 17, 1943 in Winchester and was the daughter of the late Beatrice Meuse and the stepdaughter of the late Leroy F. Meuse.
Lee was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She served 8 years in the United States Army attaining the rank of Sergeant and was stationed in West Germany from 1977-1982 as a communications specialist.
She later worked in civil service as a computer operator at Ft. Devens in Massachusetts retiring there when the base closed. Lee was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was also a very accomplished artist in drawing and crafts.
Lee was predeceased by her husband the late Arthur F. Marston of Dorchester. She was the loving mother of Kenneth Marshall and his partner Michele Semich of Wakefield, Daniel Marston and his wife Laura of Woburn, and Shaun Marston of Fitchburg. She was the sister of John Marshall of Wakefield, Lance Marshall and his wife Frances of Wakefield, and Kenneth Meuse and his wife Carol of Andover. She was the loving grandmother of Makleighla, Liam, Clara, Colin, Lily, and Connor. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Michelle, John, David, and Carianne.
Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Aug. 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
