Turner-obit-webMELROSE — Leo “Chris” Turner Jr., 69, a lifelong resident of Melrose, died on June 25 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Chris was born and raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School.

Mr. Turner worked as an automotive mechanic in the area for many years.

He is survived by his parents Leo and Margaret (Lux) Turner of Melrose and his siblings Katheen Devir, Michael Turner, Cindy Lux and Robin McDonald. Uncle Chris will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Chris also leaves behind his loving companion Kathleen Diorio and her family.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Saturday, July 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
