Hi Wakefield!
My name is Dan Pawlowski and I am the new sports editor for the Wakefield Daily Item. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and try my best to express how excited I am to share sports stories in our community. I am a recent graduate of DePaul University in Chicago where I majored in mass communication and media. I am a North Reading native who graduated from St. John’s Prep in 2011. My passion for sports goes back as far as I can remember. As is the case with many sports journalists, my love for the game and its narratives was always much greater than my athletic ability. My favorite Boston team? You have heard this before, but it depends on what season it is. My favorite sports to cover are basketball and baseball. I am very passionate about local sports and look forward to providing in-depth coverage while sharing the stories and athletic accolades of Wakefield locals.
