BOSTON — House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones Jr. welcomed Lynnfield High School seniors Paige Martino and Jack Kouyoumdjian as interns in his State House office this past summer.
As interns, Martino and Kouyoumdjian were able to gain first-hand knowledge of the legislative process by assisting Jones and his staff with a variety of constituent and policy-related projects.
Martino, a senior at Lynnfield High School, was participating in her second internship at the State House following a successful summer internship in Jones’ Boston office in 2023. She is a captain of the LHS girls’ tennis team and is passionate about community service having served as an Ambassador for Project 351, an independent nonprofit organization focused on youth service and leadership. Martino’s interests include foreign and public policy and social justice issues. She plans to study journalism or law after she graduates from LHS.
Kouyoumdjian is also a senior at LHS and is a member of the LHS football and track teams. When he’s not working at his part-time job delivering pizza, he enjoys fishing and swimming in his free time. Kouyoumdjian is interested in tax reform, housing and health care issues and finding ways to lower costs in these areas for Massachusetts residents. The summer internship in Jones’ office was his first exposure to politics, but he was eager to learn more about the legislative process
“I’ve been fortunate to have many talented and dedicated students from the 20th Middlesex District working as seasonal interns in my State House office over the years,” said Jones. “Paige and Jack both did a tremendous job researching policy and helping with constituent-related issues and I hope they found their internships to be a positive and enriching experience.”
