At Charbonneau Field House
WAKEFIELD — Little League makeup tryouts are this Saturday, March 14, for both baseball and softball from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Wakefield Memorial High’s Charbonneau Field House. Both softball and baseball can try out anytime between those hours.
Also, Little League will take walk-in registrations at tomorrow’s makeup tryouts. You can still register online at wakefieldlittleleague.org.
If your son or daughter is not already on a Major League or Senior League team they will need to attend tomorrow’s makeup tryout if they haven’t tried out already. Also, all 9-year-olds, both girls and boys, need to try out.
The Little League ages for softball are: Farm League (Born 1/1/05-12/31/07), Minor League (Born 1/1/03-12/31/05), Major League (Born 1/1/02-12/31/04), Senior League (Born 1/1/98-12/31/01).

The Little League ages for baseball are: Tee Ball (Born 1/1/09 – 12/31/10), Rookie League (Born 1/1/08 – 12/31/08), A League Ages (Born 1/1/07 – 12/31/07), Minor League (Born 5/1/02 – 12/31/06) and Major League (Born 5/1/02 – 4/30/05).
Note: All 12-year-olds who participate in the preseason tryout must be selected onto a Major League team. Any 12-year-old who wants to participate in the tryout but does not want to play at the Major League level, can sign a waiver prior to the tryouts to play at the Minor League level. Please speak to one of the WLL representatives for a waiver. You must try out to be eligible for a Major League team.
Senior League players, ages 13-16, are for any player born between 05/01/98-04/30/02 and will play on the big diamond.
