PEABODY — Louis J. Rosalbo, age 98, of Brooksby Village, formerly of Wakefield, died on Tuesday November 23 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

He was born in East Boston on February 2, 1923 and was the son of the late Mario and Lucia (Cantella) Rosalbo.

Louis lived in Wakefield before moving to Brooksby Village in 2000. He was a graduate of East Boston High School Class of 1940, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was an electrical engineer for G.E. in Medford. Louis enjoyed fixing cars and woodworking. He was a handyman and was the former owner of Virginia Maid Candy in Arlington in the late 1940’s.

He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy M. (Zaia) Rosalbo. He was the loving father of Daniel J. Rosalbo and his wife Patricia Lemen of Randolph, VT and Christine M. Monk and her husband Bob of Bristol, N.H. He was the brother of the late Mary Rosalbo, Mildred Dipietro, Eleanor Knox, Jennie Impeduglia, and Vito “Sonny” Rosalbo. Louis was the grandfather of Robert Monk and his wife Kristina of Beverly, Corinne Murphy and her husband Adam of Manchester, NH, Mark Rosalbo and his wife Cindy of Randolph, VT and the late Scott Rosalbo. He was also the great grandfather of Jasmine, Emily, Amanda, Henry and George Rosalbo, Mackenzie Monk, Finley and Jack Murphy.

Funeral services are private and in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
