Teacher’s aide, election day poll worker

Obit-Bucci-webWAKEFIELD — Louise C. (Cancian) Bucci, 83, of Wakefield, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Clinic in Burlington, after a brief illness.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Vazza) Cancian.
She was the beloved wife of Anthony “Tony” Bucci. She was the loving mother Linda Pelissier and her husband Roger of Stoneham, John Bucci and his wife Mary Jane Bucci of Tewksbury, Karen Eno and her husband Tom, Sandy Teixeira and her husband Dave all of Wakefield, and the late Charles “Charlie” Bucci. She was the loving sister of Joyce Arrigo of New Hampshire. She was the adored grandmother of James, Mark, Neil, Joel, Jason, Joseph Dan, Michelle and Derek and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Louise worked as a teacher’s aide for the Wakefield School Department for many years and was a volunteer at the polling stations during elections in Wakefield.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
