LYNNFIELD — Historic Lynnfield’s Country Store fundraiser will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Old Meeting House.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. and will stay open through the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

“Vendors will include favorites from the past, as well as some exciting new additions to the store,” said Country Store Co-Chair Karen Nascembeni.

This year’s Country Store will feature beautifully decorated fresh wreaths and swags, Vermont cheddar cheese, ham and bean dinners to go, Mrs. Claus’ Snacks and Lunch Kitchen, popcorn and Singing Marshes Jelly and Jam.

“The Village Home and Garden Club will be selling beautiful evergreen arrangements, and the Centre Club will be hold its annual Lottery Contest,” said Nascembeni.

Nascembeni said the Country Store’s craft vendors include homemade blankets and aprons by Busy Fingers, Nora’s Honey and Beeswaxed Candles, Christmas ornaments from Handmade by Hollis, beautiful crochet stuffed animals and blankets by Seriously Magical Creations and Children’s Sensory Kits by She Creates.

For the kids, new this year, the Children’s Holiday Book Bazaar features a large assortment of children’s holiday books. The “penny” candy store will make a return this year, sponsored by the Kilgore family and the Holiday Ornament Decorating station is back, hosted by the Nascembeni and DiFillippo families, where children will be invited to decorate ornaments to take home as a remembrance of this beloved annual tradition. Connor’s Kindness Project will be operating the very popular North Pole Fishing Hole.

“For entertainment, the popular Voices of Hope chorus will perform upstairs at 10 a.m.,” said Nascembeni. “Santa arrives by way of the North Pole on a fire truck at 10:45 a.m. New this year, Lynnfield Music Department students will be singing acoustic Christmas carols starting at 3 p.m.”

The Country Store’s sponsors include MarketStreet Lynnfield, The Savings Bank and Cal’s Brick Oven Pizza Company.

In addition to Nascembeni, the Country Store Committee includes fellow Co-Chair Karen Hathaway, Lynnfield Historical Commission members Kirk Mansfield and John Michalski, and Historic Lynnfield board members Nan Hockenbury, Inta Brazelis-Simeone, Sharon McLaughlin Marrama, Lauri Priestley and Michelle Johnson.
